Following the County Proclamation of the new monarch, King Charles III, Aldeburgh has been invited to host a brief proclamation ceremony on Moot Green at 3.30 pm on Sunday afternoon.

The ceremony will be led by representatives from the Lord Lieutenant’s Office, Aldeburgh Town Council and the Church (non-denominational.) Representatives from other local organisations will be in attendance.

Residents and visitors are warmly invited to this event, which is an opportunity to commend the previous sovereign and pledge support for the new one.

The Union Flag will return to full mast when the National Proclamation is made on Saturday and return to half-mast following Sunday’s event.
