SZC Deed of Obligation Public Presentation 9th November

Aldeburgh Town Council meeting on 9th November 2023, 6.30pm in the Church Hall.

You are hereby invited to an extraordinary meeting of Aldeburgh Town Council on the 9th November 2023 where two representatives from EDF will be providing a presentation on The Deed of Obligation relating to SZC and answering questions relating to it.

Richard Knight and Zoe Botton from the Sizewell C Project Team will present slides and give an update on the SZC Project. There will then be a 15 minute period set aside for local Cllrs wishing to ask any outstanding questions not covered in the presentation which will be followed by a public session.

We are asking for written questions only to be submitted prior to the meeting via email, deadline 1st November. If towards the end of the meeting and time allows there will be a short period for members of the public to address the project team with any questions that have not been previously asked.

The meeting will be held in Aldeburgh Church Hall, Victoria Rd, Aldeburgh, IP15 5DU and will start at 6.30pm promptly. Please be seated by 6.20pm.

The meeting will be chaired by Cllr Kevin Webster, Mayor.

What is the Deed of Obligation?

A legal agreement between SZC, Suffolk County Council and East Suffolk Council on how the project will limit its impact on local communities during construction.
