Aldeburgh Town Council wants to hear your views to inform our responses to the Planning Examination of the Application for EA1N and EA2 windfarms and associated infrastructure on shore (this includes; landfall at Thorpeness cliffs, with cable runs through to Sizewell, Aldringham and Knodishall to Friston where SPR and National Grid propose to build 3 large substations). 

*The 6-month Examination phase which was to end on 6th April, has now been extended until 6th July 2021.

The focus for the extended 3 months will be on:

Biodiversity and Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA);

Consideration of alternatives and cumulative impact onshore;

Flood risk and drainage; and

Issues around the proposed substations site at Friston, including, but not limited to, considerations of landscape, design, historic environment, visual impacts, and proposed mitigations
