Summer Theatre at the Jubilee Hall

Aldeburgh Summer Theatre

Noel Coward’s

BLITHE SPIRIT

Blithe Spirit sold more tickets in the West End than any other Coward play. It has the caustic wit of Private Lives, the featherlight touch of Hay Fever and its unique additional ingredient – at least one ghost.
This traditional production formed the cornerstone of the very first Jill Freud season, with daughter Emma playing the maid.
In a new, spring-heeled and razor-sharp production, directed by award-winning Director Phil Clark, classic will join hands with modern to tell this tale of: One Man – Two Wives.

Simon Brett’s

MURDER IN PLAY

Simon Brett’s hilarious comedy-thriller, a worthy companion to his Charles Paris novels, ruthlessly satirises an inept theatre company – and the numerous red herrings will keep you guessing until the final moments of the play. Anyone who has enjoyed the Charles Paris series on BBC Radio 4, starring Bill Nighy, will love Murder in Play. As funny as Noises Off, with the plot of a classic Agatha-style Murder Mystery.
