Stand for election as an Aldeburgh Town Councillor.

Local elections for Aldeburgh Town Council will take place on Thursday May 2nd 2019 and this could be your chance to play a part in the running of the town.

Whatever needs changing in your neighbourhood, YOU could be just the person to sort it out by becoming a town councillor.

Aldeburgh will be facing many challenges over the next four years – Sizewell C, Scottish Power, parking, planning issues – and a whole host of fun things to get stuck into.

The Town Council welcomes fresh faces. People from all walks of life who would be prepared to give up a few hours each month to help improve all aspects of community life in the town. The role is voluntary and unpaid but can be very rewarding.

Publication of the Notice of Election will take place on March 15 2019 when details of how to become a councillor will be displayed on notice boards throughout the town and on the Council’s website.

You don’t need special qualifications to become a councillor… just enthusiasm and a passion for helping all residents of the town. Support, information and training is available for new recruits.
